eOne’s Family Brands division is an exciting, fast growing team within the global Hasbro family that specialises in the development, production, distribution and brand management of kid’s entertainment. Key properties in the brand portfolio include international pre-school TV phenomenon Peppa Pig; superhero hit PJ Masks; newly launched pre-school series Ricky Zoom; fashion brands My Little Pony, Equestria Girls and Jem; as well as action-adventure brands Transformers and Power Rangers.

 

Role summary: 

The Director, YouTube & AVOD will lead our global YouTube team across our Action & Fashion Brands portfolio to maximise exposure and revenues for our brands – feeding valuable data, insights and expertise into overarching brand strategies. The Director will be the go-to YouTube expert for our Action portfolio and proactively seek ways to improve performance, staying ahead of competitors, trends and platform changes. The Director will work with various stakeholders across the business (Brand, Marketing, Content Sales) to maximise opportunities globally and locally, ensuring we have clear rollouts across YouTube and AVOD platforms that feed into wider distribution plans. The Director will manage a team of Senior Managers and Managers who will run day-to-day channel management.

 

Key responsibilities:

Performance & growth across our Fashion & Action Brands portfolio on YouTube globally
Responsible (directly and indirectly via our YouTube team) for all micro-elements of YouTube channel management and performance
Feed into brand and production strategies – recommend creative and innovative solutions based on YouTube expertise and data
React quickly to any changes on YouTube, adapting our channel strategies to ensure they remain fit for purpose
Create brand-level viewership & revenue forecasts, working closely with VP, YouTube & AVOD and Finance, regularly tracking performance
Direct management Snr. Manager and indirect management of the wider channel management team for Action Brands, ensuring the team have KPIs and goals with clear vision and direction. Ensure the team have the right tools & resources to succeed.
Manage expectations and priorities with stakeholders; ensure team deliverables are met on time and our strategies remain aligned to overall business priorities
Ensure SEO, artwork and monetization policies are set according to best practises
Build relationships with external agencies and explore new opportunities for the business
Work with brand protection and Content ID team to control infringement
Translate data from YouTube into actionable insights
Ongoing review of overall performance with clear storytelling and solutions, sharing with the VP, YouTube & AVOD and stakeholders across Brand, Marketing and Content Sales
Keep ahead of competitors and trends within the Action Brands portfolio
 

Key Competencies: 

Direct and proven experience managing YouTube channels with excellent knowledge of YouTube best practises and the digital landscape specifically in relation to AVOD
Understanding of key metrics including CPMs, Watch Time and views – comfortable reporting on and forecasting viewership and revenue
Experience managing a team with strong leaderships skills – able to motivate and hold team members accountable with strong EQ
Creativity – able to ‘think outside the box’
Analytical mindset – comfortable analysing data to create actionable insights with clear storytelling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to distil complex YouTube strategies into simple concepts
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational skills
